  • Curriculum-aligned for Years 7-12
  • Optional 6-week follow-up program (ideal for continued mentoring of their own projects)

About your facilitators

Tracy M. Joyce and Belinda Crawford are two published Australian authors, offering online creative writing workshops to regional schools.

Tracy M. Joyce

Tracy M Joyce is an Australian author of speculative fiction and lives in a remote community in Victoria’s high country. She loves nothing more than getting on her horse and exploring the Australian bush.

Tracy writes epic fantasy for teens through to adults. Her stories are gritty, a little dark and morality is like quicksand. You won’t find any unicorns or fairies here…

Although her stories include romantic elements, they are not romance driven novels. Do not buy these books if you’re after a fairytale….

Tracy’s first novel, Altaica, was published by Odyssey Books in 2014. Since then Tracy has written several novels, Asena Blessed, Rada and Pio — all of which are part of The Chronicles of Altaica.

Tracy has over thirty years experience as a professional English tutor, and has assisted countless students to succeed in school — and even enjoy their studies!

Her passion is teaching creative writing to students, helping them unlock the power of their imagination, see the worth in their ideas and work and grow in confidence.

Belinda Crawford

Belinda Crawford is a Mansfield-based author of science fiction and fantasy for readers who like their stories action-packed, with diverse characters, butt-kicking heroines and complex worlds. She got her start in 2013 with a place in the Australian Society of Authors’ annual mentorship program and now has over 20 books in print, including The Hero Rebellion, a sci-fi trilogy for young teens.

As a certified crazy horse person, when she’s not wrangling six-legged dynamos on the page, she’s wrangling four-legged powder-kegs in the paddock. Belinda brings that same certified craziness to her writing, with unexpected twists and enough wacky ideas to keep readers guessing.
